Department Overview:

The Wisconsin National Primate Research Center’s mission is to increase understanding of basic primate biology and to improve human and animal health and quality of life through research. The Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (WNPRC) is one of seven federally supported National Primate Research Centers and the only one in the Midwest. More than 250 center scientists, through competitive grants, conduct research in primate biology with relevance to human and animal health.

Some lab skills prefer but not required. Works well with others.

Science background.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Duties include extracting biological samples, preparing solutions, and performing general lab maintenance. We are looking forstudents who are reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.

Physical Demands:

Able to lift 10 lbs.
Be on your feet or standing for extended periods of time.
