Department Overview:

The Math Education Learning and Development (MELD) Lab investigates mathematical cognition across the lifespan. Currently, the lab has a special focus on fractions knowledge, Algebra knowledge, and relations between the two.

Qualifications:

Experience with PsychoPy, jsPsych, and/or JavaScript is required.
At least two years of computer science training is preferred.
Some professional experience in programming is preferred.
Experience with psychology research methods and/or an interest in math education is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency in PsychoPy, jsPsych, and/or JavaScript.
Understanding of psychology research methods.
Interest in math education and cognitive development.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

- Communicate over email and in meetings with project team members about the needs of the project.
- Add features to existing tasks.
- Troubleshoot and improve functionality of existing tasks.
- Use existing tasks as a template to develop new tasks, according to the needs of the project team.
- Use Gorilla’s documentation and samples to guide the work.
