Department Overview:

Our Communications Team plays a vital role in sharing the stories, research, and achievements of the UW–Madison Psychology Department with a broad audience. We focus on creating engaging and accessible content that reflects the department’s commitment to advancing psychological science and supporting our community.

Schedule:

Work schedule will be established in collaboration with supervisor, with a general expected commitment of 3-10 hours per week.

Qualifications:

- Resume and writing sample are required to complete the application process.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are both important for this role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with interviewing for storytelling
- Ability to translate academic research into plain language (preferred)
- Creativity, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills
- Psychology majors preferred, but all undergraduate students that meet other qualifications are encouraged to apply.
