Department Overview:
Get in Gear Driving School is a Wisconsin-based driver education company serving teens and adults throughout the Madison metro area. We are expanding our online platform to create a more accessible, student-friendly web experience that supports both classroom and behind-the-wheel training. Schedule:
Flexible scheduling between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Occasional weekend hours may be available near project milestones.

Must be a current UW–Madison student eligible for Federal Work-Study. Excellent organization and time-management Strong attention to detail Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently Clear written communication Comfortable with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) Proactive problem-solving Ability to follow structured processes skil
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Basic understanding of project management (timelines, deliverables, task tracking). Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar). Awareness of digital file organization + naming conventions. Understanding of professional communication standards. General awareness of how small creative/tech teams collaborate. Skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Clear written communication. Time-management + prioritization. Problem-solving related to processes, documentation, and digital workflows. Comfort with cloud tools like Google Drive, Slack, Webflow CMS, etc. Ability to coordinate tasks across multiple team members. Abilities Work independently with minimal supervision. Break large projects into smaller steps with clear tracking. Follow established processes + maintain consistency. Adapt quickly to new tools (Acuity, Webflow, scheduling platforms, etc.). Communicate issues and progress clearly. Maintain confidentiality of student information. Collaborate with designers, engineers, and instructors respectfully.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
In this role, you will support the coordination and execution of technology and operations projects. You’ll help maintain and improve the website, track tasks and deliverables, organize digital files, and ensure that workflows between our student team, instructors, and admin systems run efficiently. You will not need coding experience for this role — but you do need to be tech-comfortable, organized, a strong communicator, and ready to jump in wherever needed. Physical Demands:
Primarily computer-based work; must be able to sit for extended periods and perform basic office/computer functions.
