Department Overview:
This position is with the Nursing Research & Sponsored Programs Office in the UW-Madison School of Nursing’s Signe Skott Cooper Hall, near UW-Hospital. We have a strong team environment to support research activities. Students will enjoy a modern workspace and working closely with faculty, staff and students to advance research. The UW-Madison School of Nursing is housed on the west end of campus near UW-Hospital in the beautiful Signe Skott Cooper Hall, where employee wellness is a focus. Researchers at the UW–Madison School of Nursing investigate, innovate, collaborate across disciplinary boundaries, and translate research into effective solutions. Schedule:
The position offers significant schedule flexibility. At least 8 of the 10 hours must be Monday-Friday between 7 am-5 pm. Two hours can be flexible outside of those core hours (and could be done remotely if needed). At least two days per week is preferred to ensure coverage is spread throughout the week as tasks come in. We offer flexibility during exams and breaks with remote work and altered hours, though do prefer at least some coverage during those times. This is a year-round position.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
The UW-Madison School of Nursing Research & Sponsored Programs Office (NRSP) is seeking an undergraduate student to help with a variety of tasks that support nursing science. The student employee will work approximately 10 hours per week with different faculty and research staff members within the school. The student hourly will work with the NRSP Project Assistant (graduate student employee) and the Nursing Research and Sponsored Programs team to handle internal tasks like updating grant funding opportunities for our faculty, editing manuscripts, formatting references, designing research posters, managing biosketches for federal grant applications, helping hire other students to work on research projects, inputting research data, helping with data quality checks and more. If you are considering graduate school, this is a great way to gain an understanding of grants and the research lifecycle.
