Schedule:
Weekly 1x1 w/ supervisor (1 hour/week) Bi-weekly All Intern meeting (1.5 hours) MENA Programming event support (2 hours/week) Administrative tasks (Ex. event planning, logistics, responding to emails, social media management) (remaining hours) Note: Around and during MENAHM (March), hours will shift to accommodate Heritage Month events and programming

Qualifications:
2.0 Cumulative G.P.A. Required for Hire Undergraduate Written/verbal communications skills Proven collaboration skills Leadership and Involvement on campus Excellent customer service skills Have knowledge and experience in event planning and implementation Familiarity with social media, Canva or similar software Be able to work independently with strict deadlines for programs and events Preferred qualification: Experience on the Heritage Month Planning Committee

Position Summary/Job Duties:
The MENA (Middle Eastern North African) Programming Intern will report to the MSC Assistant Director for Programming and aims to support and build community within the student body and will serve as a key programming lead for MENA Heritage Month Planning Collective. This student will take a lead in creating and supporting MENA cultural programming throughout the year as well as marketing and promotion of such events via social media and campus partnership opportunities. They will lead the planning committee starting in the fall for MENA Heritage Month in March in collaboration with student organizations and campus partners, as well as convene the planning committee, assessment of events, and promotion of the month’s programs. Develop programming for MENA students focused on community building and education Convene and chair planning committee for MENA Heritage Month (March) Coordinate events and programs with student organizations to celebrate MENA Heritage month and the MENA community Engage in collaboration with other campus partners with similar programming and goals Oversee marketing and promotion of MENA HM events Update and maintain social media presence through posts and engagements Assess programs and collect feedback from campus and student attendees
