Department Overview:

Sex Out Loud's mission is to promote healthy sexuality through sex-positive education and activism. We acknowledge that each individual's sexuality is uniquely shaped by all facets of identity and experience. We seek to empower students to engage with these issues by providing inclusive and accessible programs, events, and resources, as well as safe spaces for reflection and discussion.

Schedule:

1 weekly staff Meeting (2-3 hours), Weekly Office Hours (5-7 hours), attendance at Sex Out Loud Events, and all positions are expected to complete their responsibilities in a timely fashion. Position offers some flexibility.

Qualifications:

Currently or will be enrolled as a UW-Madison student.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Enthusiasm pertaining to Sexual Health Advocacy and/or Social Justice Advocacy.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

1. The engagement coordinator is expected to work 13 - 15 hours per week.
2. The engagement coordinator is required to register SOL as an RSO through WIN.
3. The engagement coordinator is required to organize Fall and Spring Kick Offs.
4. The engagement coordinator is required to develop and orient all volunteer programming.
5. The engagement coordinator is required to organize hiring committees as needed.
6. The engagement coordinator is required to organize a volunteer/staff appreciation night each semester.
7. The engagement coordinator is required to work in tandem with the Outreach Coordinator to produce the monthly newsletter.
