Department Overview:

Schedule:
Hours scheduled between the hours of 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday with some evenings/weekends commitments, flexible scheduling. Regular one-on-one with your supervisor. Attending Morgridge Center training, staff meetings, and events as required.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will be self-motivated, creative and independent workers with good time management, strong writing, communication, and organizational skills. Applicants must be an enrolled UW undergrad for the 2026-27 academic year. Employment will require UW-Madison to verify your identity and employment eligibility. The employee must physically present original, unexpired documents (https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents) as evidence of identity and employment authorization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Familiarity with community-university partnership is preferred, but not required.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Storytelling Responsibilities Create social media posts or online stories that highlight the work of community-engaged scholars connected to the Morgridge Center Support updates to Morgridge Center webpages related to the Community-Engaged Scholarship portfolio Attend Morgridge Center events to capture social media posts and inform storytelling Collect and organize data related to community engagement grants and programming Work collaboratively with the rest of the Morgridge Center staff to successfully promote programs, events and services Explore new ways to creatively utilize Morgridge Center media (socials, podcast, video) to increase the Center’s brand recognition and visibility on campus and in the community General Center Support Attend Morgridge Center trainings, staff meetings and events as required Support workshop and tabling requests As needed, support general office needs, such as front desk staffing or outreach opportunities As interested, support any Center-wide committees, such as the center's diversity, equity, inclusion committee or wellness team, as examples
