Department Overview:

The Project Sourcing Office fosters collaborative relationships among key stakeholders at the Wisconsin School of Business and the UW to maintain a strong leads funnel with companies interested in working with WSB on capstone experiences. The office sources for both master's and undergraduate capstone projects. The team is currently located in the Graduate Programs Office, Suite 2450.

Schedule:

For the first month, I'd like the new hire to train on site with our current social media manager when possible. She is in Monday - Thursday. Summer hours are to be discussed. The school year schedule is determined by student's class schedule.

Qualifications:

Required:
● Experience managing multiple social media channels, creating written content for publication, and knowledge of various social media platforms.
● Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce professionally written content that can be utilized with diverse audiences.
● Experience working in a collaborative environment and a successful track record of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
● Self-starter and adaptable: open to expanding upon duties as needed, i.e., event planning support and help design marketing materials.

Preferred:
● Undergraduate studies or a major in Marketing are a bonus but not required.
● Design skills, such as proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe, and/or Canva—including the ability to create WSB branded PowerPoint decks, pdfs and other collateral with ease.
● Familiarity with Sprout Social or similar platform

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Understanding of various social media channels and their application in a marketing context.
• Strong written communication skills and an ability to produce professionally written content.
• Knowledge of basic marketing practices.
• Comfortable learning and utilizing content creation/editing platforms such as Canva Pro, CapCut, Adobe Express, Camtasia, etc.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

● Write, create, and distribute content for the Experiential Learning and MSBA social media channels, including LinkedIn and Instagram.
○ Capture and edit quality photo and video content at events
○ Contribute to a content strategy that depicts the value of WSB experiential learning opportunities, the MSBA program and drives engagement.
● Write and contribute to posts, profiles, and summaries to be used on social media and the Learning in Action blog.
● Evaluate platform metrics month to month
● Work with the Project Operations Manager to identify ways that social media can be used (but not limited to) recruit students, recruit project sponsors, highlight achievements, promote applied learning, and help build a diverse audience.

Physical Demands:

Ability to walk flights of stairs and lift boxes within reason (no more than 35 lbs)
