Department Overview:
The UW Department of Surgery consists of many specialty Divisions including basic and translational research labs that study a wide array of human-health related questions.

Qualifications:
Ability to work independently, good email/oral communication, and strong worth ethic.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
On the job equipment and chemical, safety, and biohazard trainings. Maintain equipment and supplies.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
1. Wash, autoclave and return dishware to the appropriate laboratories where it belongs. 2. Autoclave trash. 3. Keep dishwashing room neat and clean. 4. Reorder and restock dishwashing supplies. 5. Be sure that dishwasher and autoclave are working properly. 6. Run autoclave testing (autoclave vials, set them in incubator, read growth). 7. Flush shower and eye wash stations on a monthly basis. Record checks.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50lbs.
