Department Overview:
The Summer Collegiate Experience (SCE) is a six-week residential program designed for selected incoming first-year students. During the program, participants take two courses, meet with an academic advisor to plan their fall semester courses, and explore the resources available at UW–Madison.

Schedule:
64.5% appointment (25-26 hours per week) with at least four weekly in-person class periods during the six-week residential program. Class will be held MTWR 9:00am - 11:00am between June 29th - August 9th.

Qualifications:
The graduate TA should possess strong knowledge of folklore in the United States and around the world, emphasizing how individuals and groups address issues of identity, authenticity, and authority. The graduate TA should have completed at least one (1) graduate course in the Humanities. Previous teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Familiarity with the use of beliefs, songs, stories, dances, festivals, and artifacts in storytelling. Strong writing, teaching, and grading skills.
