Department Overview:
UW Bock Laboratories is home to the Center for Quantitative Cell Imaging and Institute for Molecular Virology. The building administration supports the needs of 13 faculty members, 2 graduate programs, and the 3D Electron Microscopy Core Facility.

Schedule:
Shifts are available during normal business hours, weekdays 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 10-20 hours per week are expected, but additional hours may be available during the summer months.

Qualifications:
• Enrolled for credit at the University of Wisconsin-Madison • Available to work on campus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
• Strong customer service and communication skills • Attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work independently • Interest in science support and science communication • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite
Position Summary/Job Duties:
As a Student Helper, you will support the team responsible for providing support to the building manager and administrative office. Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate confident communication, a positive attitude, and strong organizational skills. • Greet and assist visitors in a courteous and professional manner • Help maintain an organized and clean office environment • Assist with daily package and mail delivery • Assist with setup of food/furniture for special events • Support staff with office related tasks such as inventory, updating spreadsheets, data entry, outreach materials, etc.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to occassionally lift objects weighing up to 25lbs.
