You'll gain hands-on experience maintaining a large, high-traffic website while supporting marketing initiatives that connect engineers and technical professionals with continuing education opportunities. This role offers meaningful projects and an opportunity to develop practical website management skills that are highly valued in marketing, communications, and digital content careers. Schedule:
Flexible hours between Monday and Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM CT. We work around your class schedule! Hours can change every semester. The duration of this appointment is for the 2026-2027 academic year with the opportunity to extend beyond.

Qualifications:
Required: Current UW–Madison student. Experience creating, editing, or maintaining content in WordPress or another content management system. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Interest in websites, digital content, and user experience. Preferred: Experience with WordPress page editing, media management, menus, or page builders. Familiarity with website usability and accessibility best practices. Basic understanding of search engine optimization (SEO). Experience with Google Analytics or similar reporting tools.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Successful candidates will demonstrate: Experience updating and managing website content. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow established content and brand standards. Comfort learning new digital tools and platforms. Interest in digital marketing and online communications.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
As a Web Content and Marketing Student Assistant, you will work closely with the Marketing Director and marketing team to maintain and improve InterPro's website and digital presence. Primary responsibilities include: Create, edit, and maintain website pages in WordPress. Upload and format content, images, documents, and multimedia assets. Ensure website content is accurate, current, and consistent. Review pages for formatting issues, broken links, and usability concerns. Assist with implementation of new website content and page updates. Follow content, accessibility, and brand standards across the site. Help organize and maintain website assets and resources. Additional responsibilities may include: Supporting SEO initiatives through page optimization and metadata updates. Assisting with website reporting and analytics. Supporting email marketing and digital communications projects. Creating graphics or visual content for web and marketing campaigns. Participating in testing and quality assurance for website improvements.
