Department Overview:

The Hoskins Lab in the Department of Biochemistry focuses on mechanisms of eukaryotic RNA processing. It is an intedisciplinary and diverse team of undergraduates, graduate students, and research staff.

Schedule:

We anticipate that the applicant should work independently and be available for regularly scheduled in-person meetings. We anticipate 10-20 hours of work per week until the project is completed.

Qualifications:

A high school degree (or equivalent) is required. The applicant should be a currently enrolled undergraduate at UW-Madison in good standing. Knowledge with website construction, hosting, and WordPress are essential.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The applicant should be familiar with how websites function and are constructed including common programming languages, and WordPress. Familiarity with DoIT web hosting and the UW Madison theme 2.0 (https://uwthemeclassic.brand.wisc.edu) is beneficial.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The primary job duties include construction of two websites, each with several pages. These websites then need to be launched and become public facing, while being hosted by UW web services. The applicant should work with Dr. Hoskins on the design, be open to feedback, and may also need to interact with DoIT and UW web hosting services.

Physical Demands:

The applicant should be able to work comfortably at a computer and be available for in-person meetings on campus.
