Department Overview:
The mission of the Meat Science and Animal Biologics Discovery program is to interact with people across campus to develop critical-thinking meat industry leaders, discover new uses for animal components to enhance animal and human health, and to provide objective expertise for educating students, scientists, and society in wholesome foods derived from animals.

Qualifications:
Must love meat! Previous experience in curating content for social media in business-related purposes. Strong communication skills and ability to cultivate a market audience. Background or interest in local meat processing/production is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Familiarity with various social media outlets, email, newsletters, photography, copywriting editing. Must be able to tell stories of the people, program, and products involved in a deeply-rooted meat science program at UW-Madison.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Consistent scheduled (weekly & monthly) postings leading to increased activity, involvement, and attention. Content could feature events, education, weekly social media posting, weekly retail email, monthly Newsletter (eCALS).
Physical Demands:
Must be comfortable producing content in a meat processing plant and retail store. Must be comfortable with conducting computer work.
