Anticipated Hours Per Week:

Schedule:

Scheduling Considerations:
- (6-20 hours/week) 6 hours per week minimum.
- Shifts are roughly 3-5 hours long.
- Substitute positions may be offered.

Building Hours:
- Nielsen Tennis Stadium is open 7 days a week from roughly 6:45am to 10:30pm during the academic year.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

Minimum: $16.00

Qualifications:

- Must be Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant before starting.
- Required to work throughout all hours of facility operations including mornings, nights and weekends.
- Require to attend all trainings and meetings during employment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Understand and abide by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Ability to balance academic and job responsibilities.
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Rec Well programs and facilities.
- Demonstrate exceptional oral, written and administrative skills.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The Member Services Assistant is responsible for providing service in support of recreational tennis, squash, athletic teams and special events. This position oversees the operation of the Nielsen Tennis Stadium Welcome Desk.

In this role you will:
- Assist members professionally via phone, online chat, and in person with information regarding facilities, programs, and services (applicants who have customer service experience are preferred).
- Operate point-of-sale systems to complete financial transactions related to memberships, programs, and merchandise.
- Administer equipment checkout, towel distribution, and laundering processes.
- Coordinate racquet stringing and repair services, including reporting issues or low inventory. Racquet stringers may earn an additional $10 per racquet strung while on shift.
- Assist with the coordination of tennis and squash operations, including court reservations, league creation/scheduling, and lesson scheduling/management, for athletic teams, intramural sports, and special event users.
- Manage inventory and maintain all equipment and merchandise to ensure quality, safety and security.
- Manage lost and found by logging, securing, and returning items.
- Promote and maintain cleanliness and appearance within and surrounding Rec Well facilities.
- When necessary, open or close Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
- Assist in training new student employees in the use of Fusion, court reservations, facility operations and other essential job tasks.
- Understand and execute facility emergency procedures.

Physical Demands:

This position consists of prolonged sitting and regular use of a computer and phone, with occasional standing or walking.
