Department Overview:
The Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is a top-ranked, AAVLD accredited laboratory. WVDL is conveniently located directly behind the School of Veterinary Medicine on the UW campus and this position is within the Pathology Sciences section of the lab. Our business hours are Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications:
We are looking for students to fill positions for the Fall semester with options to continue into the following semesters as well. The ability to work under limited supervision, and an enthusiastic, can-do attitude is desired! Please submit a list of available shifts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Willingness to learn and attention to detail. Pursuing a future in Veterinary Medicine or related field.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Along with the routine tasks needed to keep a facility like this running, you will also have the opportunity to observe our microbiologists and pathologists at work on daily submissions consisting of large, small, and even some exotic animal cases. Please note: These are animal autopsies, if you are squeamish and blood bothers you then this is not a good fit!
Physical Demands:
In-person work. The ability to work successfully within a laboratory environment. Tasks will require the ability to sit, stand and lift.
