Qualifications:

Requirements
Proven experience building websites — from scratch and/or on a CMS — and maintaining them over time.
Strong front-end/UI build skills; able to turn a design or brief into a clean, responsive site.
Comfortable working across a CMS (WordPress especially) as well as hand-built sites.
Knowledge of website security best practices (2FA, staging, backups).
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple sites across multiple clients.
Able to provide references from long-term clients or agencies.
Strong communication and responsiveness.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Experience with SEO tools/plugins (Yoast, Rank Math, etc.).
Familiarity with analytics/tracking integrations (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel).
Design/layout ability (Figma, Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar).

Position Summary/Job Duties:

What you'll do
Build new websites and rebuilds — from scratch or on a CMS (WordPress, and comfort with others a plus), including custom page and UI work.
Design and build new pages, forms, and features for internal and client projects.
Implement security best practices (backups, updates, staging, monitoring).
Maintain and update our agency website.
Provide ongoing support for client websites we host and manage.
Manage plugins, themes, and integrations, and troubleshoot site issues.
Keep sites performing well — speed, mobile, and SEO readiness.
Follow documented workflows for change requests, approvals, and client

Contractor / freelance role (not W-2).
Remote, flexible hours.
Project-based payment at first with ability to earn retainer amount.
