Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are a warm, kind, and engaged family looking for an exceptional nanny/family assistant to become a trusted and valued part of our lives. We’re seeking someone who is highly responsible, proactive, organized, and an outstanding driver with an impeccable driving record. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who genuinely loves children, delights in building meaningful relationships, and takes pride in creating a calm, connected, and joyful environment.

During the school year, the schedule is generally Monday through Friday from approximately 2:30/2:45 p.m. until 6:00–6:30 p.m., with one evening each week extending later so Mom and Dad can enjoy a regular date night. Summer hours are very flexible and can be tailored to the right candidate. Responsibilities include school pick-up or meeting the children after the bus, preparing healthy snacks, transporting them to extracurricular activities, keeping activity materials organized, assisting with light dinner preparation, children’s laundry, and helping maintain an organized home after the busy afternoon routine.

Our family includes two wonderful children, one of whom, Cassidy, is on the autism spectrum. Cassidy is incredibly loving, bright, and relationship-oriented. Like many autistic children, he can occasionally become rigid or need additional support with transitions, but he thrives when he feels safe, understood, and genuinely connected to the people caring for him. We will work closely alongside the right candidate as a team, providing guidance, consistency, and support to help foster a trusting, warm relationship. Experience with special needs is appreciated but not required—we value patience, curiosity, flexibility, and a willingness to learn far more than prior experience.

We hope to find someone looking for more than just a job—someone interested in becoming a consistent, caring presence in our children’s lives. Flexibility for occasional weekend hours or babysitting is appreciated, and we are excited to welcome the right person into our family for years to come.
