The Department of Sociomedical Sciences at the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health is seeking a Sr Qualitative Data Researcher for a National Institute on Aging funded study of the psychosocial impact among Latinos of genetic susceptibility testing for Alzheimer’s disease. While the study has both a qualitative and quantitative component, this position is for work on the qualitative one. The person hired for this position will have a mix of research-related responsibilities. Under the supervision of the study’s Principal Investigator, the Sr Qualitative Data Researcher’s primary responsibilities will include developing data analysis strategies for planned publications; carrying out analyses of the qualitative study data and interpreting the results; and assisting in preparation of research publications.

The El-Shamayleh lab at Columbia University’s Zuckerman Institute studies how the brain analyzes visual information. We seek a full-time employee to assist with animal behavioral training and other daily duties. The employee will participate in various aspects of daily experiments under close supervision from the PI and more senior lab members.
Candidates with a strong academic background in science and/or large animal research experience are encouraged to apply.
The Research Staff Assistant role is a full-time grant-funded role, and continued employment is contingent on the availability of funding by the Lab. |

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Analyst contributes to the management and execution of Columbia College’s approximate $400 million operating budget by providing a wide range of analytical support. The individual works closely with the Director of Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis to help assemble the College’s annual budget and to monitor the budget on a routine basis. In addition, the Financial Analyst may assist with the financial administration for a specific unit or set of financial activities within the College. |
