Position Summary
The Department of Sociomedical Sciences at the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health is seeking a Sr Qualitative Data Researcher for a National Institute on Aging funded study of the psychosocial impact among Latinos of genetic susceptibility testing for Alzheimer’s disease. While the study has both a qualitative and quantitative component, this position is for work on the qualitative one. The person hired for this position will have a mix of research-related responsibilities. Under the supervision of the study’s Principal Investigator, the Sr Qualitative Data Researcher’s primary responsibilities will include developing data analysis strategies for planned publications; carrying out analyses of the qualitative study data and interpreting the results; and assisting in preparation of research publications.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus 4 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree and at least four years of prior experience with qualitative data analysis.
- Must have demonstrated competency in analyzing and writing up the analysis of qualitative data for publication.
- Experience with ATLAS.ti (or other qualitative data analysis software)
- Proficiency in using EXCEL, PowerPoint, Zoom, and reference/citation manager software.
