The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

The Center for Translational and Computational Neuroimmunology (CTCN) and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Center are looking for a Research Project Manager who will be responsible for the management of our industry sponsored projects. Along with other members of the center’s leadership, the Research Project Manager will assist in the development of standards and policies to maintain compliant and efficient research operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinates multiple industry sponsored projects, which require in-depth knowledge of the process, procedures and logistics associated with clinical practice and research.
  • Contributes to and supervises all activities in our industry sponsored projects including recruitment, data and specimen collection, data management, research personnel training.
  • Oversees data quality assurance of industry sponsored projects to being internal/external audit ready and ensure for accuracy and compliance (i.e., review study regulatory binders and subject binders periodically and prior to a monitoring visit, cross-check EDC data entry with CRF and sources documents, etc.)
  • Assists and supervises research assistants ensuring compliance with appropriate coverage for research study visits.  
  • Develops research management plans and accountabilities; implements process improvement initiatives, including workflow, implementation scheduling, coordination of staff tasking
  • Responsible for preparation and review of documents for renewals, modifications, yearly submissions, correspondence, and audits related to IRB.
  • Supervises and assists with development of training and educational material.
  • Creates and maintains project documents (i.e. CRF, logs, etc.).
  • Oversees study supply inventory and invoicing for all relevant projects to aid in successful completion of study visits
  • Performs additional related duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or equivalent in education and experience, plus four (4) years of related experience in a laboratory or research-based academic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, record-keeping, writing, and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing demands, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Ability to document procedure, and to write reports and operational guidelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, Power Point, Teams
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment and demonstrate professionalism and flexibility
  • Well organized, self-driven
  • Ability to establish priorities and a course of action for managing several activities at once while observing deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a multi-layered environment with a variety of reporting relationships and varying reporting responsibilities
  • Master's degree in administration, public health, health education, or a related field
  • Fluency or proficiency in Spanish highly desirable
