Position Summary

Reporting to the IT Manager, the Desktop Supervisor will manage a team of junior and senior programmers responsible for end user IT support in the Department of Neurology and its affiliated centers and locations. The Desktop Supervisor plays a vital role in our IT department, responsible for managing a team of three dedicated desktop support technicians and providing technical support to a user base of approximately 600 employees. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strong communication abilities to ensure efficient and effective desktop support operations. As part of the Department of Neurology’s Certified IT Group (CITG), the incumbent will ensure compliance with all CUIMC-IT requirements on software and hardware usage.


Responsibilities

The incumbent will utilize the department’s ticketing system to answer all Desktop related requests and assign tasks to the technicians, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure optimal team productivity and efficient issue resolution. S/he will oversee and manage a team of three desktop support technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentoring to ensure high-quality service delivery. The incumbent will escalate technical issues beyond the scope of desktop team to the senior members of the infrastructure and server team.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.
