The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
The School of Nursing is looking to hire a Non- Student Short Term Casual to assist (in-office and remotely) with nationwide research studies exploring infection prevention and control in post-acute care settings. The candidate will work with a team of researchers at the Center for Health Policy at Columbia University School of Nursing.
Responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Compiling data from national, state and local COVID-19 policy databases.
- Conducting literature searches and systematic reviews in Covidence.
- Participating in recruitment activities including:
- Verifying contact information for nursing homes and home health agencies and preparing mailings.
- Recruiting nursing homes and home health agencies through phone calls and emails.
- Providing assistance with conference presentations and posters:
- Formatting posters according to conference instructions.
- Inputting data into tables and generating graphs for posters and PowerPoint presentations.
- Providing assistance with manuscript publishing and grant writing:
- Formatting according to author and grant guidelines.
- Building EndNote files for manuscripts and grants.
- Inputting data into tables and generating graphs.
- Assisting with data entry and data cleaning.
- Attending weekly research-related meetings (via Zoom).
- Performing other related duties, as assigned.
This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent upon the grant.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Coursework, specialization or work experience in health policy, public health law, or health/healthcare law. Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and EndNote.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous research experience is desired.
