The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Technology Systems, the Manager of Technology System Administration manages and provides hardware and software maintenance, services, training and consultation for campus security systems and department Information Technology Systems.
Responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible for managing the team that monitors system status, assessing application performances, troubleshooting hardware, software and networking problems, and taking corrective and preventive action promptly to maximize accessibility, operability and efficiency of all services provided by Public Safety technology systems.

The incumbent will develop and implement operation procedures and policies to enforce the system discipline and ensure that security standards are met. He/She will also analyze trends, anticipate requirements and recommend technology strategies for future planning and system development.

Working closely with Public Safety Operations and the University IT department, the incumbent will plan, schedule and coordinate all system upgrade and maintenance activities to minimize system outage, service interruption and security risks.

The incumbent is also responsible to track and document all system configuration changes.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent related working experience required.

Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience managing Windows servers, SQL servers and desktop support.

Must be proficient in computer hardware, software and network service, installation, and administration. Excellent critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Efficient in verbal and written communications. Must be self-motivated, flexible, and be able to function well under stressful working conditions with minimal supervision.

Advanced knowledge of access control systems and field hardware equipment preferred.
