Position Summary
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position ensures that the dental supply modules (dispensaries) are kept in an organized and clean state. This role has daily interaction with key stakeholders for the dental clinics including students, staff, and administration. The Supply Module Clerk is responsible for providing all of these individuals with appropriate materials and supplies for patient care.
Responsibilities
The Supply Module Clerk will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Assist in organizing each supply module in a consistent way, facilitating easy ordering and restocking. Also responsible for the overall cleanliness of the module and other supply storage areas on the clinic floor. Ensure that all items are stored in accordance with all applicable guidelines and policies.
- Dispense supplies, instruments, materials, and equipment to students as requested, using various inventory control systems to ensure consistent tracking. Respond to basic inquiries; provide or receive information regarding policies, services, and hours; refer specific and more complex requests to appropriate employee. Always maintain a high level of customer service.
- Communicate expectations clearly to students surrounding the use and return of all items, especially instruments kits and materials. Follow up as needed with individuals who repeatedly misuse items or communicate the necessary information to a supervisor to allow follow up as appropriate.
- Place orders as needed to replenish supply and material inventories and verifies receipt of orders to identify any discrepancies. Restock module and other supply storage areas as needed.
- Receive sterilized kits, instruments, and other items back to the supply module using appropriate inventory tracking systems and ensures that all items are clean, complete and ready for dispensing.
- Responsible for reporting any equipment in disrepair via the CDM repair request system and reporting any issues with the physical plant to Facilities Management.
- Organize and dispense laboratory work that has returned from external labs or the in-house digital lab.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
*Working hours may vary according to operational needs. Evening hours may be required as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Minimum of one-year related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Dental field or healthcare environment.
- Working knowledge of types of dental instruments and materials.
- Must have superior interpersonal and customer service skills and be comfortable with technology.
