Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tech B position to work in the lab of Dr. Liao, in the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain at Columbia University Medical Center. The laboratory is focused on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative disorders using advanced microscopy and biochemistry assays in cellular and mouse models.er details here


Responsibilities

    • Investigate the dysregulated of RNA metabolism and protein secretion in animal models of neurodegenerative disorder.
    • Work with a postdoc and be directly supervised by the principal investigator.
    • Perform in vivo work with rodents, primary neuronal culture, immunohistochemistry, and a variety of molecular biology and biochemistry techniques Type responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • The candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related sciences or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in in vivo work with rodents and and primary neuronal cell isolation and culture.
  • Preferred emphasis in biology or neuroscience.

Other Requirements

  • The candidate should possess relevant laboratory experience.
