The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director and working collaboratively with other members of the School, the Manager, Administrative Operations & Data Management (“Manager”) is a key member of the Administrative Affairs team supporting data collection, data integrity, and reporting through research, coordination and process improvement. Ensuring operational excellence, the Manager will provide substantive support of administrative operations including market research and analysis, documentation management, data visualization and staff training to support key School needs and goals. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can efficiently manage various tasks while implementing best practices.


Responsibilities

Process Assessment and Improvement - 50%

  • Liaise with SPS Divisions and other stakeholders to evaluate and enhance organizational process and procedures optimizing efficiency, productivity, and quality as it relates to data, training, and research 
  • Identify and implement quality assurance systems and operational policies and practices that resolve service level inconsistencies
  • Assess staff training needs, developing learning objectives and resources, analyzing evaluations to implement feedback and recommendations in partnership with the SPS Training Working Group
  • Identify and implement operational updates and process changes and oversee compliance tracking

Data Management and Reporting - 35%

  • Produce presentations by converting data into visually appealing and informative graphics to effectively convey information incorporating storytelling techniques as needed
  • Create adhoc reports and dashboards in partnership with the Senior Associate Director
  • Update existing reports ensuring accuracy
  • Manage documentation management, ensuring all operations and data processes are properly documented and organized  
  • Conduct market research by gathering and analyzing data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or requested - (15%)


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience required
  • Two years of related experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education
  • Self-motivated and have creative problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with data software systems such as PowerBI and Tableau or other data visualization software

Other Requirements

  • Must be a strategic thinker and detail-oriented, with a collaborative style that encourages teamwork and cooperation
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills required 
  • Must be experienced with Excel with knowledge utilizing advanced functions such as VLOOKUPS, concatenation, pivot tables 
  • Must have the initiative and ability to start and complete projects with minimum direction as well as the ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and work under deadlines required
