The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking a Manager who is passionate about organizing teams and their work.
Reporting to the Sr. Executive Director of Communications and Creative Services, the Manager will work across the department’s four teams: communications, creative services/web design, events, and media production. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed individual who can work autonomously and demonstrate an ability to play an active role in managing multiple projects, effectively communicate deliverables and due dates with stakeholders, report on project statuses and KPIs, and deliver results under prescribed deadlines and changing demands. Two primary responsibilities for this position include the successful curation and distribution of monthly program newsletters and the continuous updating of website content for the School’s divisions, departments and programs.
Responsibilities
Work with the Communications and Creatives Services Department to coordinate and track work, including but not limited to:
- Support department teams through maintenance of Airtable, Mailchimp and/or CRM database
- Coordinate against deadlines and use management systems to assess project status and next steps
- Capture relevant data (e.g., SM impressions, event attendance) for analysis and reporting on project status, distribution reach, and KPIs
- Ensure relevant KPIs for all department efforts are identified and tracked to monitor and track performancePost and update website content
- Curate previously published content for School and program-specific newsletters and social media
- Promote events on relevant School and University sites (e.g., calendars, university digital signage, digital posters, and social media)
- Manage photo and video archives and edit photos for use by all stakeholders in support of communications needs
- Effectively represent our department in a professional manner with great attention to detail
- Think critically about workflow and practice to help identify creative solutions for process improvements
- Facilitate excellent support and maintenance of relationships with SPS programs and departments, partner schools, or others requesting our services
- As needed:
- Prepare for presentations and/or special projects
- Update department’s intranet portal
- Assist with the creative, production and other administrative work of the department, such as staffing events, helping to shoot video for SM, and/or, with time and mentoring, write for various SPS online and print platforms
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or 6 years of equivalent related experience required
- 2 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Airtable or other project management database(s)
- Experience with Google Analytics, Sprout, and YouTube
- Previous experience with posting content to websites
- Familiarity with video, audio, and photography production work
- Aptitude for the adoption of new practices and technologies as SPS continues to evolve
Other Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, project tracking, and customer service
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate against deadlines and assess project statuses using different management systems
- Experience with managing email distribution lists utilizing a CRM (e.g., Slate)
- Proficient in Google-Suite (e.g., Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Available for some weekend and/or evening work
