The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
The Department of Neurology is currently looking for an experienced and energeticfFull-time Coordinator (floater). You will provide our medical practices with administrative support, assist with the day-to-day practice operations ensuring the highest level of customer service delivery, practice, support, and patient confidentiality. This position requires the ability to travel.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day administration of the department.
- May need to cover all aspects of clinical operations, including coverage of managers, front desk, and back-end operations across multiple sites.
- Answer telephones, route callers, take messages, and provide routine information to callers professionally and efficiently.
- Schedule patient appointments including coordination of procedures.
- Verify insurance coverage, and pre-certify/authorize patient visits and procedures.
- Perform financial transactions and related functions when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, 0 to 2 years of related experience.
Other Requirements
- An on-site presence of 5 business days per week is required.
- Will be required to travel and support our various locations; Midtown, West 86th Street, Harkness 5th floor, our Westchester offices; Scarsdale, Tarrytown, and others as the department grows.
- Manage time appropriately to meet patient and department needs.
- Conforms to all applicable HIPAA, Billing compliance, and safety guidelines.
- Adjust and acclimate to various work assignments and work environments.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
