Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Systems Development, the Senior Analyst, Systems Development is a key member of the HRIS team. The Senior Analyst participates in large/complex projects supporting the development and maintenance of PeopleSoft and related Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). The Senior Analyst, develops requirements, creates and executes test scripts, and performs end-user testing. The incumbent must be proficient in PeopleSoft Human Capital Management and has knowledge of one or more of the following modules: Base Benefits, Payroll for North America, and ePerformance. They must have proven analytical skills and, in combination with functional knowledge, can query and build reports using SQL, PeopleSoft Query, and other reporting tools.  


Responsibilities

  • Develop requirements, create and execute test scripts and perform end-user testing.
  • Assist with upgrades, updates, module implementations, customizations, system enhancements, mergers, and other significant project work.
  • Write test scripts, perform regression testing, and assist with tax updates.   
  • Liaise between Human Resources and IT/PeopleSoft staff to effect programming changes and implement users’ requests and system enhancements.
  • Work with fellow HR and IT colleagues to create functional requirements relating to new functionality, fixes, and customization of pages, processes, etc.
  • Create technical, interface-related test scripts and carry out the testing using the extraction and reporting tools available to build test scripts and test scenarios.
  • Responsible for control table entry in PeopleSoft – and can supervise or coordinate such efforts being performed by another member of the HRIS team.
  • Use advanced knowledge and analytical skills pertaining to HRIS to guide members of the HRIS team.  Provide statistical and analytical data to support the basis for informed decision-making.
  • Use the appropriate tools to identify variances and research discrepancies to ensure the soundness of the HRIS. This individual works to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of the HRIS.
  • Provide guidance to the Training team in the development of system training materials and presentations that can be used by fellow members in Human Resources.  Perform training via phone, zoom, or in-person.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of related experience.


Other Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years working in Human Resources and at least 3 years having worked with PeopleSoft HCM is required.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal with information in a confidential manner. 
  • Subject matter expert of PeopleSoft’s core HCM: Proficient in the use of the core PeopleSoft HCM module: navigation, methods to update and correct information, searching for help, etc.
  • Proficient in using any third-party reporting tools, e.g. PeopleSoft’s Query Manager.
  • Subject matter expert in any one of the following modules, North American Payroll, and ePerformance.
  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of PeopleSoft’s Query Manager, SQL Developer, Data Warehousing, Application Designer, Application Engine, Component Interface, PS Security Administration, Process Scheduler, and Application Workflow Engine.
  • Proficient in using some intermediate/advanced features found in Microsoft Office such as pivot tables, statistical and logical formulas, conditional formatting, etc.
