The Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs (ODMA) at Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S) is committed to nurturing the diversity of our institution by actively recruiting, enrolling, and graduating a diverse population of students. Whether through our various pathway programs for pre-college and pre-medical students or through the intergenerational connections fostered within our diversity alliance, we maintain a strong sense of camaraderie at VP&S. This multicultural community ensures a comprehensive and enriching learning experience for all students.
To support the primary objective of nurturing the diversity of our institution, ODMA offers various pathway programs each summer for middle, high school and college students who identify with groups that have been historically underrepresented in the health professions as well as those who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. These program opportunities are intended to provide academic enrichment, career exposure, and mentorship opportunities for participating scholars in the respective programs. |
