This position contributes to data sets and visualizations that can be presented and interpreted as actionable insights for immediate use in institutional decision-making. The Coordinator also supports core business intelligence functions including data collection and reporting, management of internship data across academic units, and database maintenance. This employee must be able to multi-task and prioritize many competing deadlines and timelines. Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to take initiative are essential to success in this position. This position reports directly to the Director of CPD Business Information & Systems. Essential Functions Data Collection & Reporting Collect and review data and contribute to analysis of data related to career engagement and post-graduate outcomes. Leverage Excel and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics) to collect outcomes data from multiple sources, such as graduation events, direct outreach over the phone or in person, and secondary research. Support the development of interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to provide real-time insights to institutional leadership and stakeholders. Assist with providing reports for internal stakeholders, accrediting bodies, and external agencies. Assist with analyzing survey results and identifying predictive indicators of student outcomes. Use analytical, technical, and communication skills to contribute to actionable data insights, develop training content, and represent the career & professional development department in professional settings. Manage concurrent data projects, balancing a variety of factors to ensure timely delivery across departments. Internship Module Management Manage end-to-end workflow of internship module processes, including data ingestion, validation, and synchronization with university systems (e.g., Banner). Coordinate quarterly audits of internship data using to ensure integrity and consistency across stakeholders (Registrar, ISSS, faculty, and students). Configure and deploy dynamic forms and workflows within the internship module platform to support custom academic requirements Serve as liaison with third-party software vendors and internal IT teams to troubleshoot, test, and implement system upgrades or enhancements to the internship approval module. Maintain documentation of module configurations, version history, and business rules for training and continuity purposes. Software System Maintenance Ensure high data quality including backup, cleaning, data entry, and field configuration Create and schedule automated custom reports to monitor student engagement metrics, internship trends, and graduate outcomes Design event registration and feedback surveys in Qualtrics, integrating branching logic to streamline user experience and reporting Respond to real-time data requests to support departmental strategy and operational efficiency University Citizenship Serve as an active and collaborative partner to all central and unit-based advancement functions and campus colleagues to foster strategic, effective, and collaborative advancement practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience (Veterans with equivalent combination of military certification/education and experience may substitute for the degree qualification). Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis and reporting, preferably in a role involving institutional or business data; including: Experience in building interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and/or web-based tools. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Business Analytics, Data Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience working with relational databases Experience in survey design and analysis, including development and administration using tools such as Qualtrics or similar platforms. Experience in data lifecycle management, including data collection, cleaning, analysis, reporting, and dashboard development. Professional experience in a higher education, nonprofit, or similarly complex organizational setting, with an understanding of institutional reporting structures and stakeholder communication. Experience working with enterprise systems such as Banner, particularly in relation to workflow processes, system integration, or reporting modules. Familiarity with internship/co-op tracking systems or student information systems. Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences . Working Environment Standard office environment Unexpected interruptions occur often, and stress level is moderate Noise level is quiet to moderate Physical Activities Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs. Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. In accordance with the University’s flexible work policy, this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work.
