Position Summary

The Coordinator, Advancement Systems and Data, supports Advancement’s systems and data operations through accurate updates, thorough documentation, and responsive user support. This position plays a key role in ensuring the integrity and functionality of Advancement’s CRM and related systems, collaborating closely with IT and Business Intelligence teams on testing, system changes, and process improvements. The Coordinator will serve as a first point of contact for system users, assisting with updates, data imports, and user training while maintaining detailed documentation to support consistent and efficient operations. They will report in to the Associate Director of Advancement Operations Systems.

Essential Functions

Data Management and System Support

  • Execute CRM updates and support data imports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established data standards.
  • Lead data cleanup projects and ongoing data quality initiatives.
  • Provide first-line user support for Advancement systems, troubleshooting issues and escalating as needed.

Systems Testing and Implementation

  • Assist with testing and rollout of new systems, processes, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Contribute to issue tracking, change documentation, and system improvement efforts.

Documentation and Training

  • Develop and maintain clear, accurate process documentation to support consistency across Advancement Operations.
  • Provide technical training and guidance for Advancement staff to promote effective system use and data integrity.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data management practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical processes clearly.
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and reliability as a contributing team member.
  • Comfort working with large datasets and enthusiasm for continuous system and process improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience (Veterans with equivalent combination of military certification/education and experience may substitute for the degree qualification).
  • 2 years of related professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education or similarly complex non-profit environments.
  • Experience with CRM database software (e.g., Ellucian Advance, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Experience developing or supporting system integrations, APIs, or ETL processes.
  • Experience with gift entry, gift accounting, or other advancement-related data processes.

Working Environment

  • Standard open office environment.
  • Noise level is quiet to moderate.

Physical Activities

  • Ability to use a computer for an extended period
  • Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs. with assistance

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; some nights and weekends as required.  In accordance with the University’s flexible work policy, this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on the division and team specific needs.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 8.

Hourly Range:
The hourly range for the position is $25.54-$29.63.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
