About the role
In this role, you’ll support and drive the governance, delivery, and continuous improvement of the City’s Revenue & Efficiency Program. You’ll manage the Benefits Register, ensure alignment with project governance frameworks, and work closely with teams across the organisation to define, measure, and report on project and initiative benefits. Partnering with Strategy & Performance and Commercial Analysts, you’ll help identify new opportunities to maximise value and improve outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engage with teams to define and track benefits and implement solutions in line with department strategy and plans and the Project Governance Management Framework. 
  • Provide subject matter advice when required to the department leaders and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Train and actively support others in the team by sharing knowledge to achieve common development goals. 
  • Execute, monitor, and report on work progress against plans and budgets to ensure timely delivery in line with the relevant frameworks, regulations and policies.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a Project Management Office or Projects where you have developed benefits measures. A relevant qualification in Project Management as well as professional experience in Benefits Management in a comparable organisation would also be an asset.

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrated people skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Good problem solving and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve task outcomes.
  • Well-developed planning and time management ability.
  • Financial literacy and outcomes modelling.
  • Knowledge of best practice benefits management practices in similar organisation.
