About the role:

Work Type: Temporary Full Time (through to 20 March 2026)
Classification: Band 7 Commencing from $106,158 pa plus super (from 1 July 2025)

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team at Leopold Child and Family Centre to plan, develop, and deliver high-quality early childhood education, health, and social support services for children and families.
  • Manage service finances and budgets in accordance with Council, state, and federal policies.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, integration, and professional learning among staff to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and inclusive services.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, caregivers, and community organisations to create a safe and welcoming environment for children and families to thrive.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards, including the National Quality Framework.
  • Coordinate administrative processes, including client data management, financial reporting, and staff scheduling.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan and strategic goals for the service.
  • Engage with local schools, agencies, and community groups to identify emerging needs and gaps in service delivery.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to staff, including recruitment, induction, and performance management.

About You
The ideal candidate for this role will be highly experienced in the Early Childhood Education sector, with experience leading diverse teams. You will thrive working in a fast paced environment, have high levels of attention to detail and resilience, with a safety first and continuous improvement mindset.

Essential Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid, Management of Anaphylaxis, Asthma, and CPR certifications.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Extensive experience in providing high-quality education programs for children aged 0-12 years.
  • Strong understanding of legislation, regulations, and frameworks relevant to children's services.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and support staff within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including families and community organisations.
