About the role
In this role, you will coordinate staff in the delivery of day to day operations in a clean, safe and friendly environment. The position is responsible for the planning and implementation of project-based tasks in relation to the operation of the aquatic area, cleaning contracts and maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership in the development, coordination and evaluation of aquatic program activities undertaken by the Leisure and Recreation Services Department.
- Assist in the strategic development of aquatic operational processes and aquatic program activities.
- Provide administrative support to Leisure Services staff with tasks relating to plant and operational activities.
- Take an overseeing role of the aquatic facilities and programs and take responsibility for day to day operations of the centre, in consultation with other Coordinators as required.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a Tertiary qualification relevant to recreation program management or several years experience in a related field.
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in team development, management and leadership.
- Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience in aquatic plant room operations..
- Demonstrated experience in the planning, implementation, reporting and evaluation of innovative procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships with staff and client groups.
- Proficient computer skills using a range of technologies. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate and Pool Lifeguard Award
- Current Working with Children’s Check and Victorian Driver’s licence.
