About the Role

The City of Greater Geelong is embarking on an exciting journey of digital transformation, and we are seeking a skilled Change Lead to join our Change Office. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering effective change management strategies to support programs within the Digital Information & Technology portfolio. This critical role will ensure employee adoption and minimise resistance, while fostering a people-centric approach to change.

In this position, you will partner with leaders and subject matter experts to guide change efforts across various initiatives within the Digital Information & Technology portfolio, including leading change management activities, delivering tailored training programs, and ensuring the successful implementation of change deliverables.

Work type: 12 months fixed term contract
Classification: Band 8 $115,035 - $127,911 pa plus super

About You

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Change Lead who thrives in a complex change environment. You will have substantial experience in leading large-scale digital transformation projects and a strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.

Key Selection Criteria

Education and Experience:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources, Commerce/Business, Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certified Change Management Practitioner (Prosci, Change First, or similar).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
  • Extensive experience in leading change initiatives, including training needs analysis and workshop facilitation.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven success in leading and implementing transformational change projects in complex environments.
  • Strong experience in developing and executing change and communication strategies.
  • Ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels and build effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing coaching and support to leaders in driving change.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the development of communication collateral.
  • A solid understanding of local and state government processes is desirable.
