About the role
In this role, you will provide an effective, efficient and quality Payroll function & People Assist (Human Resources) to the City of Greater Geelong.
Work type: Temporary Full Time (10 months)
Classification: Band 5 $76,355 - $86,617 pa plus super
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver a range of day-to-day payroll processing transactions, including leave applications and appropriate payroll reconciliations.
- Ensure the HR / Payroll system is maintained and up to date, i.e. employee data, staffing changes, payroll updates.
- Assist with the management and administration of superannuation funds (Accumulation Funds and the Define Benefit Fund).
- Provision of advice and support through People Assist (Help Desk) on payroll issues, including Enterprise Agreement (EA) interpretation and applicable legislation.
- Inputting data on the Payroll System / HRIS.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be customer focused with previous exposure/or relevant payroll experience.
Essential Experience:
- Experience using a payroll system or preferred Empower.
- Developed skills in Excel, Human Resource Information Systems and other relevant applications and software.
- Ability to maintain a Human Resource Information System.
- Adaptable and flexible to change.
- The ability to problem solve and identify improvements.
- The ability to relate to all levels within the organisation.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to produce high quality work.
