About the role...

The Technical Deployment Manager is responsible for coordinating the deployment and hyper-care support of corporate technology products and projects within EMEA, covering Equity and the Partner Network. This role requires a candidate with strong operational and technical expertise, the ability to follow a global deployment framework, and a solid understanding of Flight Centre corporate brands. The Technical Deployment Manager will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful end-to-end deployment of technology solutions.

 

 

Key Accountabilities...

  • Develop and manage corporate technology requirements for migration, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
  • Create detailed technical run sheets and integrate them into the end-to-end deployment plan.
  • Serve as a technical SME, contributing to impact assessments.
  • Oversee technical aspects of deployment, including testing and configuration.
  • Facilitate cutover calls ensuring accountability for project success.
  • Communicate deployment project statuses to relevant stakeholders, highlighting any risks.
  • Plan and lead go-live activities, ensuring all required support structures are in place.
  • Document and oversee hyper care activities post-deployment.
  • Continuously refine operational processes by incorporating lessons learned from past deployments.
  • Foster a solution-focused, accountable work environment.
  • Adhere to established deployment frameworks and best practices.
  • Collaborate in an agile environment, focusing on new enhancements and developments while adhering to the Deployment Framework.
  • Action partner technology onboarding which may not fall part of the full deployment framework.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Ensure alignment within the deployment department and with key teams, including PMO, Change, Finance, OBW, Reporting, Product and Engineering.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and support teams to secure necessary resources and assistance.
  • Engage with all business functions to facilitate a seamless transition to business-as-usual (BAU).
  • Collaborate with deployment area to ensure alignment with the global deployment framework. 

 

 

Who you are...

  • Minimum 2+ years working within an FCTG Systems/Consultant/ Specialist, Technology focused role with a focus on Corporate.
  • Strong communicator (face-to-face and virtual), with the confidence to lead and influence conversations. 
  • Tenacious and proactive approach.
  • Focusses on the solution not the problem.
  • Finds the best (most efficient) way forward.
  • Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Forward thinking, anticipate problem areas and take steps to improve.
  • Demonstrates excellent open and honest communication with Stakeholders.
  • Must be able to adapt to and help others embrace change.
  • Able to use strategic planning methods to ensure we are set up to successfully deliver.
  • Able to juggle several responsibilities competently. To manage your time effectively, in order to maximise efficiency and productivity.
  • In depth knowledge of our corporate systems.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholder requirements.
  • Flexible with hours during migration.
