
As the Global Head of Finance Systems, you will play a pivotal role in transforming and optimising our Corporate Finance function by integrating diverse market and regional teams into a cohesive, centralised, and globally consistent entity. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of a unified global finance operating model, including the necessary technology systems, while ensuring compliance with regional nuances such as tax laws and data regulations.
With a focus on strategic oversight, you will serve as a crucial link between finance and technology. This role involves translating operational needs into technical solutions that effectively create a target finance operating model designed to reduce costs and enhance the overall end-customer experience.

Your Responsibilities:
Strategic Transformation:
- Lead the global transformation of the transactional finance function disparate systems and market/regional teams into a unified global structure while honouring regional nuances such as specific tax laws and data handoff regulations
- Focus on the strategic oversight, design, and implementation of the global finance systems and processes to ensure comprehensive and cohesive integration
Leadership and Influence:
- Utilise strong leadership and influencing skills to drive change and align global and regional finance teams with the new centralized finance system, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared goals
Collaborative Implementation:
- Partner with regional CFOs, the global CFO, and transactional finance teams to co-create and implement a global finance system. Provide the necessary support, resources, and guidance to ensure their active and effective participation in the transformation process.
- Act as a bridge between the finance and technology functions, ensuring operational needs are effectively translated into technical solutions. Establish governance structures, management frameworks, and regular communication channels to facilitate coordination and accountability throughout the transformation.
Efficiency and Cost Reduction:
- Drive higher levels of efficiency and reduce the cost-to-serve in coordination with global and regional transactional finance teams, Global Business Services, and Centres of Excellence. Success will be measured by the cost-per-transaction attributable to the finance function, including costs of the systems in place.
Technology Oversight:
- Directly manage technology teams comprising internal teams and external vendors, in the deployment and maintenance of global finance systems.
Customer Experience:
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience related to finance services, including but not limited to internal payment solutions and invoicing/statement solutions.
Align with customer facing technology and service offerings to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Revenue Generation:
- Support and enhance the revenue-generating areas within the finance operating model, aligned with corporate pricing, fee, and revenue strategies.
Key KPIs:
- Reduced transactional finance cost to serve including costs incurred to maintain and run the technology systems
Revenue generated through fees & supplier payments
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience leading geographically dispersed teams
- Proven experience managing the strategy for a global discipline
- Proven experience in travel finance
- Excellent stakeholder engagement & transformation change experience
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in finance or a related field
- Candidates with a degree in technology or a related field will be highly desirable
