As a key member of the Flight Centre New Zealand senior leadership team, you will partner with the Flight Centre New Zealand General Manager in driving growth and sustainable profit for the business.

This role will also be responsible for leading the local commercial and operational finance teams to drive planning and forecasting maintaining strong financial health in our mid office platforms along with contributing to the development and conversion of strategy into an operational environment with clearly measured outcomes.

The role will report into the Global Brand CFO and the successful candidate needs to be an experienced finance professional who is commercially astute and demonstrates strong leadership and communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

About the role. Mō te Tūranga

  • Partner with the NZ General Manager and senior leadership to drive growth, profitability, and strategic execution across the Leisure business.
  • Lead commercial and operational finance teams, overseeing planning, forecasting, and financial health of mid-office platforms.
  • Deliver insightful financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making, including P&L forecasting and performance reviews.
  • Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and risk management across store and online operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance systems and processes, collaborating with tech and data teams to enhance efficiency.

 

About you. mo koe

  • A qualified finance professional (CA/CPA or equivalent) with experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Commercially astute with the proven ability to simplify complex financial data and influence key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience leading high-performing finance teams and fostering a collaborative, values-aligned culture.
  • Strong business partnering skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint).
