As a key role within the My Cruises Product Team of My Cruises this role will be perfect for someone with outstanding attention to detail and solutions focused mind set along with a good understanding of cruise lines, their systems. The above role will be responsible for monitoring cabin inventory, trading allocations, reconciling group financials, and maximizing group benefits eg FOC cabins. This role will also be key for ensuring inventory is sold within ideal time frames and the opportunity to build, create, and curate packages for tactical campaigns in line with this inventory will also play a part in the success of the role, a key skillset for this will be good geographical knowledge, GDS skills and understanding of the cruise consumer.

 

 

In this role you'll be....

 

  • Product Build & Tactical Campaign Management  
    • Ensure that all held inventory is in market within specified timelines, work closely with Product Managers to assess opportunities for promotion. Create tactical campaigns for potential distressed inventory.
  • Inventory Lifecycle Management   
    • Ensure life cycle of inventory is managed effectively, this includes payment timelines, reconciliation of group finances, monitoring hand back and penalty dates 
  • Monitoring Cabin Inventory
    • Ensuring that all inventory is loaded into internal reservations systems, monitor for cancellations, pace of sale and identify risk dates where inventory is approaching penalties. 

 

  • Rate Analysis & Maximizing Margin 
    • Regular rate comparisons against tactical & FIT rates. Ensuring inventory is sold at maximum margin and market advantage in place to identify yielding opportunities.

 

 

Who you are...

 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cruise or retail travel
  • In depth knowledge of the Cruise industry and their reservations systems 
  • Product and Supply Distribution 
  • Supplier relationship management 
  • Cruise Line System knowledge
