About the opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the People and Culture Department in Mexico City as a Human Resources People Business Partner.

The HR Analyst plays a key role in the continued success and execution of processes and policies implementation for México. This position is responsible for applying business knowledge and HR expertise by providing a wide range of support and advice to key stakeholders and Mexico staff.

The successful candidate will function as a partner to the business leaders and provide HR expertise across FCTG Mexico brands and businesses. Strong focus on guidance for the best HR practices such as recruitment, onboarding, terminations, performance management, employee relations, proactive education, coaching and empowering employees to perform better to acquire greatest results in FCTG MX.

Who you are:

  • Strong business acumen with detailed understanding of all FCTG brands and businesses and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Customer focused, providing outstanding service to internal business partners and other teams.
  • An excellent communicator who presents ideas and concepts logically and clearly, practices information sharing and active listening
  • Strong people skills in the context of internal and external parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop structured approach and framework for resolving key business problems.
  • Apply problem-solving frameworks and use appropriate analytical tools.
  • Present clear recommendations to Flight Centre management
  • Talent Acquisition - Recruit, interview and refer qualified candidates to the hiring manager for approved job openings.
  • Facilitate the on-boarding and assimilation of FCTG new hires.
  • Proactively identify key stakeholder groups.
  • Supports employees on issues, including but not limited to, benefits, payroll, and general policy and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in employment, state, federal and local regulations. (Mexican Labor Law)
  • Work with the managers to resolve any employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution; oversee employee disciplinary meetings, and terminations for México.
  • Ensure delivery of HR services at agreed levels
  • Support and develop training initiatives.
  • Contribute to FCTG strategy development.

Position Requirements:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Intimate knowledge of generalist HR policy, procedures & practice.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Proven successful performance in HR or Advisory role in a large organization.
  • Knowledge of future trends in HR and ability to think strategically to create innovative future HR practices. 
  • An understanding of the alignment of all HR practices with organizational strategy and business outcomes.
  • Experienced strategic Business Partner demonstrated ability to establish strong relationships with key business partners and executive leadership.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Strategically, analytically and data driven.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
