About the Opportunity

As a member of the Operations team, the Operations Executive plays a key role to ensure that Discova meets and exceed its goals and operates successfully. The Operations Executive will work in partnership with Operations Team Leader managing and coordinating events and execute the operational standards and requirements that will drive the customer satisfaction and productivity. Your main responsibility is:  

  • Event Coordination:
    • Plan, organize, and execute events from start to finish, including logistics, scheduling, and on-site management.
    • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver exceptional event experiences.
    • Coordinate with vendors, venues, and service providers to ensure smooth event operations.
    • Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Operations Support:
    • Oversee and coordinate the business operations, including bookings, itineraries, and travel arrangements.
    • Provide support to clients by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless travel experience.
    • Work with suppliers and partners to arrange travel services, accommodations, and activities for clients.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of event and operations, including contracts, invoices, and client communications.
    • Prepare reports and provide insights on event performance and operations.
  • Customer Service:
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to events or FIT operations promptly and professionally.

About you
 The Essentials:

  • A Bachelor Degree or a degree in tourism and hospitality is an advantage.
  • Experience in a DMC or tour operator is an advantage.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • An understanding and belief in Responsible Tourism is desirable.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to be flexible and implementing change when needed.
  • Strong background in event planning and operations, with the ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal across a variety of cultures to a diverse range of people (customers, suppliers, team members, leaders). 
  • Highly motivated, self-starter prepared to do whatever it takes to succeed
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks and able to work outside office hours when required.
  • Solution focused and great at problem solving.
  • Able to work independently and within a team assisting team members to help everyone achieve results.
