About The Opportunity

As the Student Universe Marketing Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive sales and increase brand awareness within our student and youth demographic. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to create compelling campaigns, optimize product listings, and analyze customer behavior to inform marketing decisions. Your role will involve managing and mentoring a team of marketing professionals, as well as collaborating with external partners to ensure that all marketing efforts are aligned with the company’s goals. If you have a passion for driving growth in the e-commerce and/or travel space, and a proven track record of success we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement e-commerce marketing strategies to increase sales and revenue.
  • Manage and optimize e-commerce channels such as website, social media, influencers, email, and paid advertising.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to make data-driven decisions.
  • Create and execute targeted campaigns that resonate with the target audience and drive engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
  • Track and report on key metrics such as traffic, conversion rates,  total transaction volume, margin and ROI to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce technology, tools, and trends to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to optimize marketing spend.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing specialists to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all marketing activities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5 years in e-commerce marketing
  • Ability to manage large budgets effectively
  • Proven success in SEO optimization
  • Experience with email automation and A/B testing
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Knowledge of travel industry trends and best practices a plus
  • Understanding of student and youth customer behavior and psychology a plus

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $145,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
