In this role you will lead the efforts in assessing and mitigating risks, solving quality challenges, and implementing changes to improve engineering efficiency. You will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality as well as coaching developers on quality engineering practices.
Day to day:
- Creation of test plans, test cases and acceptance criteria
- Develop and maintain automated test cases
- Drive quality as an end-to-end responsibility of the whole team
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks
- Coordinate with product and engineering teams to ensure quality is considered early and throughout the development lifecycle
- Coach developers on test automation and testing practices
- Work with other teams on general automation initiatives, e.g. data preparation, environment setup, etc.
- Deliver quality reporting and dashboards to improve visibility and transparency
- Identify and remediating quality and process limitations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of test quality by undertaking reviews and recommending improvements
- Assist with development duties
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
- Experience in application, system integration, API and E2E testing
- Experience in using JS based test automation tools
- Selenium/Cypress/Cucumber/Jest
- Experience with API testing frameworks such as Postman, Cypress and/or Selenium
- Programming expertise in JavaScript & Typescript
- Experience adding/maintaining automation tests & quality gates into CICD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions
- Experience in coaching and mentoring team members on quality engineering practices & processes
- 3+ years’ experience in planning, coordinating and reporting on test efforts for projects
- Performance testing experience
- Experience with the Quality Assistance model
- ISTQB Certification
- Experience with AWS and Github Actions pipelines
- Experience with observability tools, such as logging (Splunk) and monitoring (New Relic)
