As the Senior Business Analyst you'll be experienced in analysing and identifying business needs and improvements.  

You will be responsible for gathering requirements, documenting process, design and architecture and also be knowledgeable in business process improvement, software development life cycle methodologies, and experience in creating commercial business cases to understand the ROI of opportunities.  

In this role you will assist with driving efficiencies across internal processes and improving air technology platforms and products for FCTG Independent.

 

Day to day:

  • Foster strong relationships with both internal and external project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding of the Business Analyst role 
  • Deep understanding and application of Business Analyst tools and techniques
  • In conjunction with Product Leaders, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineering Teams, and Architects, develop strategies to determine the priority of strategic initiatives, highlighting risk, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Manage project progress, track key milestones, and identify and document potential risks or issues affecting project timelines where appropriate
  • Contribute to the development of product roadmaps and product plans
  • Plan and drive scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for complex initiatives.
  • Plan and conduct workshops to discuss, elicit, define, and document requirements
  • Review existing business requirement documents, ensure requirements are adequately defined and are aligned 
  • Identify and document potential risks related to requirements and assist cross functional teams in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Establish requirements baselines and ensure changes to requirements are investigated and managed
  • Evaluate existing processes, systems, and data flows to identify areas for improvement and innovation, providing recommendations and roadmaps for senior stakeholders
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements to optimise project delivery and increase efficiency
  • Contribute to the definition of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for business improvement
  • Leads the development of comprehensive stakeholder management strategies and plans

 

You'll be perfect for the role if you have:

 

  • 5+ years in a business analyst role
  • Experience using Atlassian tool suite (JIRA and Confluence)
  • Previous airfare system experience 
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst in a Product team working closely with Product Managers
  • Previous project planning and Monitoring experience
  • Requirements gathering and documentation experience
  • Experience within travel or other internet-scale environments
