About the Opportunity

As a Revenue Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the recovery of supplier commission revenues, with a focus on Cruise & Tour and for the Envoyage brand in Australia.

You will liaise with and support internal and external stakeholders with collecting and analysing data to support the businesses in maximising supplier commission revenues.

You will maintain, audit and improve processes and controls to maximise data quality.

You will also be the commissions recovery expert especially for Envoyage and Cruise & Tour in Australia, in collaboration with the internal supply, finance and operations teams to achieve business goals and KPIs.

Candidates must be based in Brisbane, or willing to relocate.

 

What you will be doing:

Commission Revenues Collection

  • Audit and validate supplier responses for accuracy and completeness of commission revenues received
  • Contact, resolve discrepancies and build strong positive relationships with suppliers to manage commission recovery, timely payments, and data quality

Support

  • Gain a deep understanding of the internal stakeholders’ experience relating to the data and commission revenues to support their expectations, vison and goals
  • Investigate unallocated payments and chasing for back up information from suppliers
  • Be available to assist, investigate and address inquiries relating to supplier commissions from internal businesses

Reporting

  • Develop and maintain reporting processes and systems for internal businesses to measure performance of the suppliers and to support and validate earned and tracked commissions
  • Create a regular report to effectively communicate data quality, supplier performance and/or internal issues that affect the critical efforts to recover and reconcile commission revenues
  • Work closely with Supply, Finance and Operations peers to provide ad hoc and monthly reporting on progress and insights of commissions received, outstanding and owing

Data Quality Management

  • Monitor and problem-solving data quality issues to ensure maximising commission revenue recovery
  • Help maintain data quality standards by identifying and resolving data discrepancies or inconsistencies
  • Analyse existing data for quality and coordinate the implementation to improve or enhance the data and establish data quality protocols

Collaboration

  • Work closely with other members of team, internal businesses in other countries and external suppliers to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights
  • Support the commission specialists in the other regions to maximise recovery and reconciliation

Change Management

  • Identify opportunities for improving business processes through function and non-functional requirements

 

Hours: Normal Monday to Friday office hours -  due to the global nature of our business, flexibility to work outside of standard hours may be required occasionally to accommodate meetings across different time zones

 

What you will need:

  • Knowledge of various collection techniques
  • Previous experience with administration of billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated success using analytics and research to provide insights and design action plans
  • Ability to successfully deliver solutions to agreed quality, time and specification
  • Perform duties independently under general, minimum supervision within specific assignments and ability to work collaboratively when needed
  • Develop, implement, manage and document business and processes, functions, and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work with the business to achieve business goals
  • Understanding of the processes and relationships between the travel agency and its suppliers
  • Degree/relevant qualification
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally when required
