As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing financial control and reporting, tracking financial performance, and analysing key metrics and results.

In this role, you will operate at both strategic and operational levels, supporting the business in executing and delivering key strategies, while ensuring that financial control, process improvements, and change management are consistently integrated into every aspect of the business.

This is a hands-on position where you will be expected to manage accounting processes, perform reconciliations, and handle journal postings, ensuring these are completed accurately and on time. Your efforts will enable the business to scale effectively and achieve long-term sustainable growth. A key part of your role will also involve driving business improvements and supporting critical projects to ensure their success.

 

 

 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing month-end accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal postings, and invoicing
  • Preparing and analysing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing and analysing weekly cash flow forecasts
  • Analysing monthly management reports, tracking financial and non-financial performance against KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and trends
  • Conducting variance analysis and providing commentary on actual results compared to budget and forecasts
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Driving continuous process improvements to ensure alignment with best practices
  • Reviewing and improving monthly processes for efficiency
  • Supporting the annual audit, including creating workpapers
  • Actively enhancing existing reporting systems and processes

 

 

 

 

We’d love to hear from you if you have… 

  •  Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a commercial environment
  • Business Central experience (beneficial but not essential);
  • High level of expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • CPA/CA qualified
  • Tertiary level education in Accounting or similar
